Lakefront Brewery is an excellent destination for beer travelers. Parking was a bit odd, we parked in a nearby grass field but it appeared there was an event that day so can’t say if that’s normal. The tasting room is modeled after a large open German beer hall filled with long tables. Idea being, people share tables and promotes a communal drinking environment. Lakefront offers tours, but we usually skip tours as they tend to cater to people who know little to nothing about how beer is made. Lakefront is distributed near us, so we’d had a variety of their beers already. However, on this visit I especially enjoyed the Rendezvous Bière de Garde. We enjoyed our flight at our table, then grabbed a pint and headed outside to their patio which overlooks the Milwaukee river. It was a gorgeous day out and the patio was a bit crowded, mostly due to a regatta event being held on the river. Spectators were enjoying their beers while cheering on the rowers. While there was a large crowd, we didn’t feel cramped and we spent a good amount of time there. We had some appetizers off their pub menu and we’ll be sure to stop by again when we’re in the area.
