Horse Thief Hollow Brewing Co.

What a south side gem Horse Thief Hollow Brewing turned out to be. I had heard good things from prior visitors and was excited to finally venture a bit south for their beer.
Parking at the brewery is a bit sparse, we had to park a couple blocks away, but their on a main street with plenty of street parking. The tap room is large and spacious with plenty of tables as they also serve food. I’m happy to say this brewery falls into my category of “brewery that makes food” versus “restaurant that makes beer”; the beer is well made and the primary focus – the food is just a way to get you to stay and have more beer. We arrived for lunch, and I had a Cuban sandwich; which I seem to order every time I see it on any menu. I enjoyed their Purple Cow milk stout made with black currants, and the Kitchen Sink pale ale. All of the beers were great, some being winners at GABF or the World Beer Cup, and our lunch was delicious.
If I’m down in the Beverly neighborhood looking for a pint or a bite, Horse Thief will definitely be my first choice.
