My homebrew club, North Urban Brewing Society, was able to arrange a tour of a new local brewery, Buffalo Creek Brewing in Long Grove Illinois. Mike, the owner and brewer showed us around and shared some of what he’s learned opening a brewery and transitioning from homebrew to a commercial scale. It was a fun evening and the beer was quite good. Best beer of the night was a smoked stout which tasted like chocolate covered bacon. We wish Mike success and look forward to some events and new beer he’ll be bringing to the area.
