Catawba had a large selection of beers and a lot of space in the tap room. This is not their primary/original brewery but I don’t hold that against them. Most of the beer were pretty standard styles, a few “weird” ingredient beers like a Pineapple IPA. In general, nothing spectacular about the beer, although if it was my local option I wouldn’t be unhappy. I did find the taproom staff on this day a bit unwelcoming; a bit short with some of the customers that came up to the bar and not very willing (or able) to answer any questions. If I make it back to Asheville, or to Morgantown North Carolina I’d probably not make a return visit.
