Bhramari, which we learned is the Hindu goddess of bees, was one of our favorite stops in Asheville. We spent a good part of our early afternoon there because the beer and the vibe were very much in tune with our taste. We arrived just after the opening hour, expecting to be the first arrivals, but to our surprise we found a couple of people already at the bar and few more following us in. A large variety of beer styles and ingredients, they also have their own built in randall-like device for daily infusions. We enjoyed and sampled a good variety of their beer, but I think my favorite from this stop was, Hannya, a Bière de Garde made with purple sticky rice, green tea and Sorachi Ace hops. I’ve always been a fan of tea beers, especially green tea and sorachi ace combinations.
They have a kitchen but it wasn’t serving lunch that day, and they would have a food truck, but the scheduled truck had to cancel last minute – or else we would have stayed longer.
