Tighthead is what I consider my home base. Literally a couple blocks from my house – I frequent Tighthead more than any other bar or brewery. I’ve been visiting since shortly after they opened and Angie even worked there for a while hosting their trivia nights. It’s a great place to hang out for a pint or grab a growler. The standards are some of my favorites and every so often they throw something new and interesting out there.
As they’ve grown they’ve added a bottling line, a canning line – expanded the tap room and added fermenting capacity. All of which I hope leads to sustained success and variety on tap. The brewery is also behind the Mundelein Craft Beer Festival which we’ve frequented every year, which just gets bigger and better each summer.
