Odd Side was one of the gems of this trip to Michigan. During my pre-visit research I was rather excited by the assorted styles and non-traditional flavors that could be on tap. It’s a rather difficult spot to locate. Once we found parking in downtown Grand Haven, we were walking towards the building the map pointed out but we didn’t see any signs. We saw people sitting around with beer so we figured we were in the right place. We located a door with a small sign and went in. The brewery and tap room share the building with a few other shops, with a central hallway. Plenty of seating available, even on a hot July afternoon. Not much in the way of decor and style – just a bar and tables, and taps. Their tap list was one of the largest I’ve seen in a brewery. There was no way we would be able to try them all that day so we carefully selected some of the most intriguing flavors. We really enjoyed the coffee blonde “Beanflicker Blonde” which was a coffee flavored Blonde and the “Mayan Mocha Stout” which is a chocolate stout with habaneros. With their proximity to the lake, and being in beautiful downtown Grand Haven, Odd Side is a must visit and will for sure be one we re-visit whenever we can.
