Kings and Convicts recently opened up near our house and we took a free Saturday afternoon to run out and try a few pints. Was a bit surprised when we arrived to find they didn’t offer pints. I wasn’t able to find out why, but, for now they only offer 5oz and 10oz pours and to be honest the price for 10oz of pale ale is about what I’d pay for 16oz and many other tap-rooms. The tap room is very small but they do have a nice little patio for when the weather cooperates. Their overall space is large so I assume they’ll be doing a lot of packaging for distribution as the tap room isn’t likely to sell all the beer they’re making.
For our visit, they had very few varieties to sample; only pale ale and IPA but had 6 different beers to try. They were all enjoyable, a few seemed a bit young and would be better after another week in the cooler. Can’t say it’s a place I’d seek out but if I were in the area for some reason with time to spare I could see stopping in for a taste of what’s new.
