The last stop on our Asheville tour, Hi-Wire Brewing. It was a marathon trip and I was very happy with our last stop. We slid up to the bar and ordered a few flights, starting with what we nicknamed the “Flight of Darkness” – it was all stout, porter and a doppelbock; everything above 30 on the SRM color scale. The bartender loved the name we gave our flight. Angie and I found it all so good we had 2 more flights and a pint each. Knowing it was our last stop, we made it last and stayed until we’d tried every beer on the menu. We enjoyed it so much; we picked up some merch and a couple six packs of bottles. Which, of course I had to carry back to the hotel – but it was worth it.
